"Ang kasanag sa sulod sang kadulom" radiating the golden glow in March women's month. Inday hablon FUERTElity plate. A co-love work by the Super Indays PDL artists behind bars commissioned for Sewing Hope: Community Action for Frontliners and our People by Amihan Abueva featuring works of indigenous women weavers in the Philippines.
Freedom weaves, handwoven hablon fabric at IDFJD Nanga, Pototan and naturally dyed in organic turmeric yellow with handmade soft sculpture and needle work on felt cloth at ICDJFD.

Inday hablon FUERTElity plate, speaks about a woman’s life celebrating the fullness of Ilongga flavors, full of sweet, bitter sacrifices, sometimes a mysterious twist of painful events but Inday bounces back, takes charge and reclaim her inner power. At the center is the infinite feminine power, the light that shines the brightest in the darkest times, the source of creative passion, reclaiming her body as a collective healing journey. The rounded petals are assertions of wholeness to signify protection from any form of abuse. A platter of delicious visual narrative brings home the warmth symbolic of the mother’s cooking and memories of home.
Collaborating Artists: Rosa Zerrudo (co-creator)
with PDL women artists behind bars:
Anna P, Phoeby H, Jessica M, Ruffa Jane R. Sheena M with hablon weavers; Cheche G, KC Rose G, Joana Claire T, Girlie A, and Cycal T.
